We are thrilled that you’re interested in becoming a part of the Southeastern Ontario Fastpitch family! Our association is dedicated to promoting the sport of fastpitch softball in our community, offering opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels, as well as for those wishing to contribute as coaches or volunteers.

For Players:

To join as a player, please complete our online registration form or come to our evaluations, provide personal information, previous playing experience (if any), and your preferred position(s).

For Coaches:

If you’re interested in coaching, please fill out the coaching application form. We welcome coaches with various levels of experience, from seasoned veterans to those new to the sport but passionate about teaching and leadership.

For Volunteers:

Volunteers are crucial to our success, assisting with events, fundraising, and day-to-day operations. To volunteer, submit your information through our volunteer registration form and we’ll find a role that fits your skills and interests.

Evaluations are held for competitive teams to assess skill levels and ensure players are placed in the appropriate division. Dates, locations, and times for try-outs will be posted on our website, but generally occur in September.

Participants should come prepared with appropriate gear (glove, cleats, etc.) and be ready to demonstrate their skills in hitting, fielding, and base running.

A clear explanation of the season’s structure, practice schedules, and competition levels.

Fees & Deadlines

Registration Fees:

Players: The registration fee for players covers uniforms, equipment, league fees, and insurance. Fees vary by age group and level of play.

Coaches and Volunteers: There are no fees to apply as a coach or volunteer. However, coaches may need to complete certification courses, which the association often subsidizes or covers.

Deadlines:

Registration deadlines are set ahead of each season. For exact dates and age group-specific deadlines, please check our website or contact us directly.

Required Documentation:

Birth certificate or proof of age for players.

Completed medical and liability waiver forms.

For coaches, certification documents if already obtained and a valid Vulnerable Sector Check.
